When I reach out to my toes, my first notice is that the sound is changed when I pull my head close to the floor. In this exercise, I use the different direction of my ears as an inspiration to create a sound cathing cone collect the sound that I want to hear the most.

The sound catching cone is a device that catches the sound waves from the direction in which it is positioned. Inspired by a medical dog cone, the article fastens around the neck of the user and can be positioned on the fore or aft of the head. Depending on the position of the cone, sound waves will be amplified from one direction and muffled from the other, causing a peculiar spatial experience. If the cone is placed in the aft position, the user is not able to see their surroundings in addition to the nose alteration.
